Grace's Garden Best Wishes

Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. It’s time for another creative share using Grace’s Garden inspired by The Spot, a new cardmaking challenge blog!

The Spot design team will be bringing you Stampin’ Up! inspiration and weekly cardmaking challenges every Tuesday. It’s a Good Luck / Encouragement theme challenge this week, so get your craft on and join in by submitting your project!

I wanted to play a bit more with our new stamp set Grace’s Garden and luckily it has a cat image which I could use as black cats are also considered good luck in Britain and Japan (google says so it must be true, right?)

I stamped the gate and flowers on Soft Sea Foam layer coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers with highlights from White Stampin’ Chalk Marker.

To add more texture and interest, I added splatters and dots using the blends as well as a pigment liner.

There are 4 sentiments in Grace’s Garden but I opted for a simple ‘Best Wishes’ banner from Well Said set. In hindsight, I could have masked one of the sentiment to say ‘blossom in life’s garden’ which sounds encouraging to me as well.

The die cut Smoky Slate leaves from Garden Gateway were added on top of strips of Basic Gray and Crumb Cake. Shimmer were then added in the form of Clear Wink of Stella on these leaves.

The card was finished with the hand drawn border using pigment liner pen.
