Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set for Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! independent demonstrators sharing project ideas with one particular stamp set every 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.

Project Ideas with Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set

Good Morning Magnolia CLING stamp set comes with 10 designs, 6 of which are sentiments. It’s a versatile set for all type of crafters as it allows you to create simple stamping to detailed colouring projects. This set also coordinates with the Magnolia Memory Dies and comes as a BUNDLE from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue, saving yourself 10%

Enjoy Today Card

I am still slowly getting used to adding Designer Series Papers to my designs, even if they’re only small off-cuts or a strip. The Magnolia Lane DSP was added to the white card mat and layer after stamping the sentiment. The small magnolia flower was stamped tone on tone with Soft Sea Foam then die cut. Before adhering this on the card, I also stamped and die cut 2 of the small leaf design, adding at the back of the small magnolia.

I die cut the magnolia bloom in Gold Foil and added it on the die cut white mat. These were then adhered on the oval Perennial Essence Vellum, which was die cut using the Layering Oval Dies. I wanted to add height on the topper so I adhered it with dimensionals and finished with the Iridescent Sequin Assortment.

For You Gift Tag

For the 2″ x 5 1/2″ Gift Tag, I used a couple of the same elements from the card but omitted the DSPs. I used the Scalloped Topper Punch before adding the mat which has a 1/4″ border on the side and bottom of the tag. The gold foil magnolia blossom was stacked for added height instead of the die cut mat.

I wanted to step it up slightly and decided to colour the small magnolia flower. Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green inks were my chosen colours and applied using an Aqua Painter. The No Line Watercoloring look was achieved as the image was stamped tone on tone, the same way as on the card.

The sentiment was put together from 2 different stamps but were easy enough with the help of a Black Stampin’ Write Marker. I finished the tag with the sequins, Flax Ribbon and Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo.

Isn’t it cute? This tag can easily be adhered on another cardbase to create a card as well!

Someone Special Card

For my final project with the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp, I decided to do more colouring on Watercolour Paper.

I stamped the big magnolia flower with Mossy Meadow ink then spread the colour with the bigger brush Aqua Painter. For the shadows, I added more Mossy Meadow ink with the smaller brush Aqua Painter.

I do like mixing it up and using different mediums when colouring. The flower on this card was coloured with the following Stampin’ Blends: Light Petal Pink, Highland Heather Combo, Rich Razzleberry Combo and Dark Mango Melody.

I then did a quick watercolour wash on the background with Granny Apple Green ink.

Card Assembly

Once dried, I adhered on a black layer and Gorgeous Grape mat then on white card base. I added the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo and the 2 die cut leaves coloured the same way as the leaves previously.

The sentiment was formed by selecting only 2 words from one of the stamp design. These were stamped in Memento and Gorgeous Grape before fussy cutting then adhered with dimensionals. Finally, I added 3 Heart Epoxy Droplets, which might be difficult to spot on the photos but they are there 🙂
