Lovely Lily Pad Birthday Card

Welcome to Mitosu Crafts UK, thanks for stopping by. Today I am sharing a card using the FREE Sale-A-Bration item Lovely Lily Pad stamp set for The Spot, a new cardmaking creative challenge blog!

The Spot Creative Challenge

The Spot design team will be bringing you Stampin’ Up! inspiration and weekly cardmaking challenges every Tuesday. It’s a Colour Challenge this week and there’s plenty of combination you can create with from the selection below.

Colouring Lovely Lily Pad

I used Blushing Bride and Soft Sea Foam to stamp the flowers on Whisper White cardstock. These were then coloured with Basic Black Watercolor Pencils before fussy cutting.

Another FREE Sale-A-Bration item is the Lily Pad Dies which coordinates with this stamp set and makes the process of creating this card simpler.

The Basic Gray cardbase was stamped with the leaves in Soft Sea Foam and the hand drawn borders added. I also used White Stampin’ Chalk Marker for the controlled splatter effects.

Snipping into the Rococo Rose Gathered Ribbon is a good way to incorporate another colour which I placed under the large lily. The sentiment comes from my favourite set Label Me Bold which was coloured with Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Marker.
