What did Sara create?

Wow, its Monday so it must be By Royal Appointment time. This week it is my total pleasure to host the Guest blog and given we are so close to the launch of the new catalogue on the 4th June I decided to create a brand new post using one of our most popular stamp sets from the Spring/Summer Catalogue  – Butterfly Gala.

Butterfly Gala card idea

To date, I have held off sharing too many projects with this set as it has been in and any out of stock due to its immense popularity, but I just couldn’t resist pairing this stamp set with my other firm favourite from the Spring/Summer Catalogue, the stitched rectangles.

So I die cut three pieces of different coloured scraps (great way to use the up!) and stamped the butterfly all over in Whisper white ink. I was a little naughty and separated the larger butterfly from the small one in the set using scissors. I didn’t trim any of the photo polymer, when I cut it so that I could still use it as if it had never been tampered with! (lol)

TIP: if you place the three pieces together on a silicon mat then they less likely to move and impact the pattern matching!!! I know I’m a sewing Bee addict and its now started to creep into my language…….

Once heat set I used the subtle embossing folder (another must have) to create a uniform texture and then adhered the sections to a thick whisper white base

If you’ve enjoyed Saras Butterfly Gala idea then don’t forget to come back and see more of the wonderful creations the Royal Stampers make, every Monday!
